The Army of Hades was personally given to Kratos at the end of the Challenge of Hades by the god Hades. After Kratos defeated Pandora's Guardian and retrieved the skull of the son of Pathos Verdes III, Hades appears to him and gives him the power. This power allows Kratos to summon several souls from Hades, which relentlessly attack any nearby foes. Further level up this power to summon more souls at a time, and make the souls even more powerful.
