The Athen's battlefield
At the beginning of the Road to Athens, Kratos comes to a ledge that overlooks what appears to be a massive area below. Here, he first witnesses Ares wreaking terror upon Athens, and below, Ares' minions are continually fighting against the Athenian Soldiers. This place is known as the Athens Battlefield. Upon returning to this ledge on the way out of Athens, it becomes apparent that the minions of Ares are decimating the Athenian soldiers.
