Before the release of God of War III, they were rumors about giants in the game. So far they didn't have made an appearance in the God of War: Series. At least not as an enemy. But there were plans to let fight Kratos against in God of War: Ascension. Concept Art reveals three giants which would have appeared in Ascension if they weren't cut.
The first giant is three times bigger then Kratos but looks the most human of the three. He's dressed like an Greek soldier, being covered in armor and wears a helmet similar to Hercules. His face is hidden behind a metal mask. His weapon of choice is a dual weapon with a morning star and lance, which is larger then him.
The second giant would be the biggest undead if he wasn't cut from the games. He la…

The empty staircase in the rotunda of olympus maybe for a new god who will become a mentor. As for me i think it is likely for helios to become a mentor or even a goddess. Cant wait for it to be revealed.

God of War: Ascension is the prequel to the legendary God of War series. The game begins with Kratos tramped in the Prison of the Damned, from breaking his oath to the God of War, Ares. The game follows his exploits of redemption in the eyes of the gods. The game follows many of the series' trademark formulas, but there are plenty of differences from game to conclude the series, God of War III. Let's take a look at the different elements of both of these games, and be sure to vote on which game you feel does a better job in each of the following categories.

God of War: Ascension is the seventh installemnt of the God of War series, and serves as a prequel to the entire game series. The game follows Kratos' act of vengence upon Aeres, and the Furies. The game includes a series-first addition in competitive multiplayer. How does Ascension utilize the fast-based combo focused combat system iconic to the series?
Ascension features a mutliplayer system that supports up to eight players. A light story element is thrown into the game; the players control a warrior who is also an oathbreaker, imprisoned within the Prison of the Damned. The warrior is taken to Rotunda of Olympus and alligns themselves with one of four deities: Ares. Hades, Zeus or Poseidon. Each allignment offers their own play-style, as …

- Bonus: God of War Ascension Ending. It was done with the save editor I created. (God of War - Ascension: Save Editor)

This edtior works for both Retail PS3 and CFW, and as you have seen in the video, it works for any saves at any time of the story. From the start until the end of the game, no exeption.
It can mod Red Orbs (up to 1 000 000), max Health, magic & Rage, max Gorgon eyes & feathers, unlock & max out all items (weapons ect..) from anywhere in the single player campaign.
More info in the description of the video. -
No. It won't. At least, I don't think so. After all the new stuff they introduce in Ascension (the Primordials, weapon-stealing, a more human Kratos, much more realistically done graphics, etc.), do you think that they would introduce all that just to completely end the series after doing so? I think Kratos will return in the future. Probably. Hopefully.

Kratos is back in another God of War, this time a prequel. While this isn't a continue of the main story per se, God of War: Ascension is a full title, with no punches pulled. But does the game measure up to past success?
Check out the critical response below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section!
God of War: Ascension has received no negative reviews as of yet.

Can Kratos still kill gods like Zeus without hope???
He lost it at the end of the third game and if the will be a fourth can he still slay powerful gods??

In the Primordials article, under "God of War" (as in the in-game and not Greek mythology) it reads: "The best known primordials are Gaia, Ouranos and Tartarus."
Where in any of the games does it say that Tartarus, for example, is a Primordial or any kind of god-like being? I know he is considered one in mythology but never in any of the games do I remember it mentioning Tartarus being more than a location in the Underworld.

Are the Primordials still alive? I mean they are the first beings created in the universe, so it's highly unlikley that they can die.
They also could become the antagonists in future god of war games.

Hi guys. KaiserLos here. And I've got this idea in my head about a modern God of War game.
What I mean is, that it is placed in a modern setting (Modern buildings, Cars, etc.) Now, how would a God of War game be in a modern setting like that? Well, here's what I was thinking: (This isn't canon I guess. And I'm sure I got some stuff wrong, but what the heck) After destroying the Gods of Olympus, Kratos sat on the throne and ruled as King of the Gods. His rule lasted for many years. But he forgot the fact that the Gods were immortal and would someday rise again.
That fateful day came. The Gods of Olympus returned and, using their combined might, overthrew Kratos from the throne and destroyed him comepletely...Or so they thought. He was a Dem…

Now it's not that I don't have anything against Greek Mythology and I'm excited for the new God of War game.
But why won't Sony Santa Monica put in other Mythologies in God of War? Say like Norse, Egyptian, Chinese and whatnot.
It would be fun to go into a new mythology and take slay other gods.

The new GOD of WAR: Ascension, has a multiplayer available to PS3.
After hours of playing it, I have to say it is awesome and addicting.
It can be intimidating at first, but stick with it and once you start unlocking weapons and armor, the fun begins.
First pick your God from the available choices of Zeus (Elemental damage) and Ares (Physical Damage). Poseidon and Hades aren't available in the beta. If you choose Zeus pick gear that is gives more elemental power and with Ares pick Physical power.
I suggest playing the 4-player game mode first ( Favor of the Gods ) to get used to the combat, then play the 8-player mode( Team Favor of the Gods ).
This game is awesome and I suggest it to everyone!

After playing through the demo, I have discovered a potentially game breaking problem: The Life Cycle. I thought at first that it'd rely on magic so you couldn't spam it to avoid getting hit and so you couldn't make enemies slow down to a stop every time you encountered one. But it doesn't need magic, it needs to recharge for three seconds and that's it - three second is less time than it takes for the enemy to start moving again. I suppose you might think that it'd be useless in a horde encounter but that's also not true, it slows all enemies in its beam and that can be a ridiculous number - the most I've got in one try is five out of six. I'm really quite worried that this new ability will make the game too easy as it is increadibly over…

Just a note, I wrote this first on my user page and then added to it in order to create this blog post. This review is a matter of opinion and the overall score is compared to the other God of War games.
(Just a note: I haven't played this game on the PSP, I played it on my PS3 on the Collector's Edition Volume II so the PSP game may have slight differences from the PS3 port). Most God of War fans consider this as the worst God of War game (by no means is that bad, however) but I actually like it more that God of War III. You might think I'm mad to even consider this five hour add-on better than the 'mighty' third instalment, and I wouldn't if it was a console title but it's a handheld game and they've done a great job. The scale is impress…

I am out of options, so I hope to find my final one on this wiki.
When I try to run God of War III, I see nothing but a black screen for 10 minutes. Eventually returning me to the PS3 menu. When I try to run it again it sometimes says there is a software update available, but when I click on accept the same thing happens.
I am on the latest firmware and I have tried many things to boot the disc, including erasing t, formatting and rebooting my PS3.
Please help me out,
Thanks in advance,

Recently I found this Concept Art, searching for more info about the upcoming God of War. This photo should be the cover of Gameinformer and shows Kratos struggling with an almost demonic looking creature.
If I look at the seize of the creature, this would be more likely a boss fight.
And since it features wings, a scorpionlike tail and wings and the lion head I believe this is a manticora.
Let me know what you think.

Hi,
Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. We are now ready to expand the rollout to the rest of the site, and we are starting with wikis that there are the most videos for - which includes your wiki!
The videos we have are fully licensed from video partners we have developed relationships with. They include videos such as trailers, famous movie/TV clips, walkthroughs and behind the scenes interviews. We currently have video content from Screenplay and are working to create partnerships with other vendors, including Hulu, soon. …

It's not a bad thing of course, but apparently the category counter is going nuts. It 'readds' all existing categories to pages when you make changes to a page, or a section of it. I don't know what triggers it, and I don't know if it happens every single time, but it's something you should keep track of. No need to be concerned, but if you see it happen, now you know it's not your own doing. KratosGodofWar (Radi0n) (talk) 18:09, July 10, 2012 (UTC)

Am I only one who find it suspicious that Athena tells Kratos how he rite himself from his nightmares, by forgiving him... at the end of God of War III! This is my vision why she did this...
When Kratos became the champion of the gods, she planned to rite him from his nightmares after he removed the threat that Ares poses. She really wanted to tell him that to be free, he had to forgive himself for what he had become. But from the moment, Pandora's Box was opened and she was infected by greed, she came up with a plan. At the beginning of God of War, Kratos was already at the brink of insanity, so he would become even more ruthless as his nightmare continues. She tricked him in believing that the Gods couldn't help him but without telling hi…

I ask this question to those who may have read the postings from the God of War Egyptian Bloodlines book. I know that I have only posted the first two chapters to the book on this space but God of War is a million dollar franchise will millions of fans. I could have thought that some of those fans would read the fan fiction and of those some would also like to comment. Now I am not looking for good comments because I like what I wrote. I am looking for those comments where people want to tell me what they think. I want comments where people put me on blast because I have done something to the series they love. Send those to me. I want to talk on them becuase I have so much in line for the series but would love to know if there is a fan bas…

As many of you know I have posted the first six chapters of the book God of War Egyptian Bloodlines on the Blogspot.com. Since this time I have conducted an edit of all the chapters in the book. I conducted this edit and added over 40 pages to the book. Adding in pieces and parts which add to the whole series. This series takes Kratos to the edges of his sanity and beyond. From the gates of every underworld the mythological worlds have to throw at him. Eventually he will become the very things he hates only to gain the redemption he needs to give him reprieve from his nightmares. What you may or may not know is that I have begun posting these same chapters within the virtual walls of the Wikia. A God of War Fan Fiction section was …

So apparently, Kratos has some form of time control as he can focus time manipulating abilites on enemies and use it to reverse broken objects back to their orignal forms. I'm pretty sure everyone's going to abuse this power as much as they can. Enjoy.

To those who have been following my blogs on blogspot.com. I have posted the first of the set of short stories. I know that I stated they are of Viking Origin but the first one is a King Author tale. It depicts the mighty King in his final battle against his nemesis Mordred. This is not a normal Arthurian tale for though he is a great king, he is not exactly the best of men. Please read what I have written and let me know what you think. Like I said, this is the first of a set of six short stories. I am currently editing them in an attempt to make them as good as they can be and also so they stand alone.

It has been a while since I have been back to this wiki. The Marine Corps take a lot of time out of my days and so that is the excuse I am going with.
Currently I have finished the final edit (that I am going to do) to the Egyptian Bloodlines and now I am going chapter by chapter through the Viking Tales book. As promised I am still planning on blogging the short stories here but I am attempting to make them ready to stand alone as a short story.
Originally they were written as a piece to a whole of the long story but they actually work well by themselves. I threw in a lot of Norse history into them and yes Kratos does make an appearance, if not by name by description. So in the next few days I am going to post the first one and before t…

For those of you who are reading the God of War Egyptian Bloodlines book on Blogspot.com I want you to understand that it is still in the editing phase. I wrote the entire book in the course of only five months (even though I had the plotline detailed out for months) but since that time I have reread the entire book and made several edits to it.
Now that is not to say the plot has changes for it is entirely the same. Mostly I updated the senses. Things that Kratos experiences during his journey I wanted to make clearer. I wanted the reader to have a better feeling for what they were reading and I understand that the first copy did not convey enough.
A second item I wanted to make known was the confusion about the beginnings of each of the chapte…
