[1]The God of War Saga is a collection of five games from the God of War series, and is one of the first in Sony's new line of PlayStation Collections. It was released in August 28, 2012.

Released for the PlayStation 3, it includes two Blu-ray Discs, with one containing God of War and God of War II, and the other containing God of War III. It also contains a voucher to download Chains of Olympus, and Ghost of Sparta.

The games retain the same features seen in their previous PS3 releases. In addition to the games, the collection features exclusive bonus content and a voucher for a one-month trial of PlayStation Plus.

The games, with the exception of God of War III, are available for download at the PlayStation Store. From September 27 until October 5, 2012, to celebrate the release of the game,[2] ran a weekly countdown of the top five "God of War Epic Moments," as voted by the God of War Facebook community. The death of Ares, from the first God of War, was voted as #1.

God of War Omega Collection

For the fans in Latin America, a similar collection pack named God of War Omega Collection was released in November 20, 2012.[3][1] It contains three Blu-ray discs, with one being God of War Collection (God of War and God of War II), other is God of War: Origins Collection (Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta) and the last one is a copy of God of War III. The package also contains a 8" bronze statue of Kratos made by artist Pablo Viggiano.

TriviaEdit

  • In both cases, God of War III is a reprint of the original, this means that DLC is not included neither on disc or on form of code to download it.
  • God of War saga's cover is very unique as it is the only cover in which Kratos has a smile on his face. All the other posters and covers have Kratos being angry or serious.
  • Kratos' pose also bears some similarity to the Assassin's Creed 2 cover.
  • Kratos' pose also resemble his pose in the album God of War: Blood and Metal.
