Added by GreyhemMarathon is a famous ancient Greek city. It was also where the Greeks won a great battle against the Persians in 490 B.C.
In God of War: Chains of OlympusEdit
After Kratos' victory at Attica, he sees the sun fall from the sky and the world plunged into darkness. He then follows what little light is left,and comes to the city of Marathon, which is being consumed by the black fog of Morpheus and overrun by his minions. He then battles his way through the city and reaches the Temple of Helios, which had crashed into the city.
