In the God of War series, Kratos comes across several Statues of Zeus. While most are merely scenery, some do play a role in the game.

In the God of War Series[]

God of War: Ascension[]

A giant statue of Zeus appears in Olympus during the beginning of the multiplayer part of God of War: Ascension. If the warrior activates it then they can choose to submit their soul to Zeus.

God of War: Chains of Olympus[]

In God of War: Chains of Olympus, Kratos encounters statues of Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon in Tartarus. After passing the Statue of Zeus, he later encounters another one within the Temple of Zeus wielding the Gauntlet of Zeus. He topples this one, and then retrieves the gauntlet from its shattered remains. He can then return to and then destroy the first statue and its two companions.

God of War[]

There a several statues of Zeus outside his temple in the Rooftops of Athens. There's a statue of Zeus, accompanied by statues of Poseidon and Hades, in the chamber of Pandora's Temple where Pandora's Box is held.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta[]

Another statue can be found in the Temple of Zeus. Once the player unlocks everything, Kratos climbs a raised pillar and swings to the right hand of the statue to push a lever to open a path below the temple to acquire the Grave Digger's Shovel.

God of War II[]

In God of War II, Kratos encounters a group of God Statues on the Island of Creation, including one of Zeus. In the final cut scene, another Statue of Zeus is seen as the Gods discuss Kratos, when the rumbling of the Titans climbing Mount Olympus causes it to crumble.

Trivia[]

  • The statue in the Temple of Zeus in Ghost of Sparta resembles the one in Olympia, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
