I doubt anyone will end up reading this or take it seriously (not that you should ever take anything I say seriously), but I need to air something that has been bugging me since 2007. I just completed the retrieval of Typhon's Bane again last night and the confusionslashannoyance grew bigger. Why did a Titan have a weapon burried in his eye? Isn't that kind strange? I know what you're thinking, strange compared to a guy with white skin that has retractable chains in his wrists, among other things right, but Im comin from the angle of ... well ... why the hell did the have a weapon buried in his eye?! It's not like he was keeping it there for safe keeping, for when he needs to blow the leaves off his porch because it was way too small for him to use. And regardless if he was keeping it safe somewhere ... why in his eye?!?! Isnt there better places like, oh I dunno, a pocket or a shelf?!

Moreover, fair enough Kratos was out for revenge, but what made him check in Typhon's eye?! I get that WE as the omniscient viewer/player knew to look there because it had the context sensitive star/R1 over it, but Kratos was sent there to ask for help! I dont think I have or will ever go next door to ask to borrow some sugar and ram my arm up their nose looking for it! And further on that case, he should have checked the OTHER eye too!

So Kratos jumps at the poor guy (who is trapped and can't defend himself mind you), rips his eye open, coincidently finds a windbow and thinks "Oh sweet, a windbow, this must be the help I was sent by Gaia to get!" So why didnt he start checking in every other Titan's body parts, imagine what he could find in Perses' biceps or Gaia's boobies! If only God of War: Ghost of Sparta was still open for editing, I'd put the trivia of "Kratos may find a new weapon lodged in Oceanus' left earlobe."

So really Im asking: compared to being given a weapon by a god or taking a weapon from a vanquished enemy, does anyone else think it's as funny as I do that a (seemingly human sized, hand-crafted) weapon was found behind the eye of a Titan? And whats your thoughts (other than 'shuttup, Spikepit!')?

...this has been another rant proudly brought to you by Spikepit.
